Rome, 1970. Graduated with full marks at the Faculty of Arts, with a thesis on Kieslowski, attends the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (National Film School of Rome). Besides some short film directions, screened and awarded in several national and international film festivals (Cannes, Oberhausen, London, Rome, Ferrara, Turin), he works as a screenplayer and editor. Then he realized several documentaries. His first feature, "Turtles on their backs", was presented at the 61° Mostra del Cinema di Venezia and nominated for David di Donatello as “Best emerging director”. His second feature, "The Call", filmed in Buenos Aires and Patagonia (co-produced with INCAA), has been selected by the 35th Toronto International Film Festival.
